Welcome to Oktrek. By booking a trek, yatra, or holiday package with us, or by purchasing an Oktrek Club membership, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
1. Bookings & Payments
- All bookings are confirmed only after receipt of the advance payment communicated by our team.
- Prices listed on the website are per person, on a Delhi-to-Delhi or specified pickup basis, unless mentioned otherwise on the trek page.
- The balance amount must be paid before departure as per the schedule shared at the time of booking.
- Prices may vary during peak season, long weekends, and festival dates.
2. Oktrek Club Membership (₹1,499/year)
- Oktrek Club is an annual membership priced at ₹1,499 per year, valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Members receive a discount on every trip booked with Oktrek during the membership period.
- The discount is applied on the total trip value and depends on the number of travellers in the booking:
- 1–2 travellers: ₹1,000 off
- 3–5 travellers: ₹1,500 off
- 6 or more travellers: ₹2,000 off
- The membership discount applies once per booking and cannot be combined with other promotional offers unless explicitly stated.
- Membership is personal: the member must be part of the travelling group for the discount to apply.
- The membership fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
- Oktrek reserves the right to modify membership benefits with prior notice to active members.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations made 30 days or more before departure: 90% refund of the amount paid.
- Cancellations 15–29 days before departure: 50% refund.
- Cancellations within 14 days of departure: no refund; a credit note may be offered at our discretion.
- If a trek is cancelled by us due to weather, natural events, or government restrictions, you may choose a full credit towards a future trip or a refund of the trek cost (excluding non-recoverable permit costs).
4. Health & Fitness
- Participants must meet the minimum age and fitness requirements mentioned on each trek page.
- You must disclose any medical condition at the time of booking. Our trek leaders may deny participation at any stage if continuing poses a risk to your safety.
- High-altitude treks carry inherent risks; participants join at their own responsibility and are advised to carry travel insurance.
5. On-Trek Conduct
- The trek leader's decisions on routes, turnaround times, and safety are final.
- Littering, playing loud music, and disturbing wildlife are strictly prohibited on all our trails.
- Consumption of alcohol or intoxicants during the trek leads to immediate removal without refund.
6. Itinerary Changes
- Itineraries are indicative. Roads, weather, and permit conditions in the Himalaya can force last-minute changes, which will be communicated as early as possible.
- Any additional cost arising from events beyond our control (roadblocks, evacuations, extra hotel nights) is borne by the participant.
